A good companion book would be "Investing in by Andrew McLean and Gary Eldred. The reason i gave this book a 4 star feedback is because i happen to have a book which is more extensive that this one, but as well more expensive. Cuts through the fluff; gives you the "holistic" view of a investment by illustrating every measure. Instead, it deals with what types of investments provide the best return with the least amount of work, what type of investing strategy to use, and how to find good deals. lead follow up, presentation skills and qualifying skills all are missing in the book.

The one thing I would say is the appreciation numbers are likely a bit optimistic for most areas considering where the market appears to be heading 8/2006 , but if you can't modify them for your area you shouldn't get into the business. I just bought my first home, and I own it all to this book. Well worth the money and a must to keep in your personal library Happy Investing John Schaub has written an excellent book on the qualitative aspects of investing. 3 million is attainable by accident. For example, in discussing ways to save money for a future down payment, Home Buying for Dummies even includes the phone numbers for various mutual funds appropriate to different investment time frames.
